Our purpose is to enhance and improve public spaces, including parks, cemeteries, and museums, in Quanah and Hardeman County, Texas, and improve the quality of life of residents through the use and enjoyment of those spaces.

The FoundationOn May 27, 2020, the Johnson family founded the E. Eugene Johnson Memorial Foundation to honor the legacy of Hardeman County native, E. Eugene Johnson.
Our current initiatives support the Quanah Friends of the Park Volunteer Corps, assistance with the Goodlett Cemetery, and a new project to plant native trees to enhance the beautification of Quanah. |

Friends of the ParkEstablished as a committee of the Foundation, Friends of the Park is dedicated to the preservation and beautification of as well as promoting activities to improve enjoyment of the historical Quanah City Park.

Treemendous QuanahThe Foundation provides free native tree seedlings to Quanah public spaces. We work with volunteers to plant trees through local restoration projects to enhance the beautification of Quanah.

The Goodlett CemeteryThe Foundation supports the Goodlett Cemetery Association's efforts to maintain the grounds of the historic Texas cemetery that is dedicated to pioneers that worked the land and raised their families in the area.
