Treemendous Quanah Initiative

In conjunction with the West Kessler Native Arbor Initiative (WKNAI), the E. Eugene Johnson Memorial Foundation has initiated the Treemendous Quanah program.   The WKNAI is a project of the West Kessler Neighborhood Association that was created in consultation with and the mentorship of the academics at the University of North Texas (UNT) and the Lewisville Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility (LAERF).  Working with the WKNAI, the Foundation will provide free native tree seedlings to Quanah public spaces. We work with volunteers to plant trees through local restoration projects to enhance the beautification of Quanah.

Tree Planting & Assessment Webinar

Through this webinar, you will learn how to successfully plant a tree in the fall, discover how to evaluate the affect of February’s winter storm on your trees and landscaping, plus learn safe digging practices when planting a tree or starting other home improvement projects.
