Quanah Pickleball

We could not have gotten here without the support of the community.  Individual donors have provided support that has enabled the purchase of the net system and the materials necessary for surfacing the court; however, we were able to get to this point thanks to the generosity of a single donation.

In October, The 2060s Project made a significant donation for the pickleball court in memory of Catherine Louise Harper.  The donation made by The 2060s Project provided the entire funding necessary for the concrete court.  When asked about the donation, Ralph Harper, Chairman and President of The 2060s Project said, “Supporting the Quanah pickleball court in memory of my mother, is a great honor.  My family hopes the court will be established as a central gathering place in the community.”

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game.
What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States, and it's not hard to see why! This dynamic and engaging game combines elements from tennis, badminton, and ping-pong to create an addictive pastime suitable for all ages and skill levels.
The Basics:
  • Played on a smaller court, making it accessible for players of all abilities.
  • Uses solid paddles and a perforated plastic ball, reducing the risk of injury.
  • Promotes physical fitness, agility, and social interaction.
  • Provides hours of fun for friends and families alike!
Pickleball has captured the hearts of millions because it's easy to learn but challenging to master. It promotes a healthy lifestyle and fosters a sense of community, which is precisely what Quanah Friends of the Park is all about!
